Adam Nichols.
Adam grew up in a family of market traders and started running his own stalls at eight. He went on to manage markets across Devon before joining South Molton in February 2025.
He looks after the regular market, events, bookings, communications, marketing and staff. Since joining, he has increased stall capacity, developed the market’s marketing and improved facilities for traders.
The people and community are what he enjoys most. He also likes finding things on the stalls that you do not see in the shops.
Adam is particularly keen to help young people start trading. Free Young Trader pitches are now available at the car boots, and he is developing mentoring with the market’s traders.

Interested in trading here?
Adam is welcoming applications for Drovers Yard. Outdoor pitches cost £15, with a gazebo, tables and chairs provided. Occasional and regular traders can apply.
The market is operated by South Molton Town Council. Independently organised events have their own booking contacts, listed in the calendar.
